The Outlook app is best way of accessing your ODU email on your mobile device and tablet. Below are the instructions for downloading the Outlook app onto your device.

*NOTE: Please make sure that your mobile device and tablet are both password protected to ensure that your ODU account stays secure.



1.Install the Outlook app from the App Store/Google Play Store after searching for it or open Outlook if it is already installed
2. Tap on the three bars in the top left corner and click on the Mail icon with a plus in the bottom right hand corner
3. Type your full ODU email address and tap “Continue”
4. Type your ODU username and password when prompted and then tap “Sign In”
5. Tap on the three bars in the top left corner and tap on your ODU email icon (Only if you have multiple accounts already setup in Outlook), which will be the first letter in your ODU username
6. Your emails will start appearing in the app though keep in mind that this may take a while

1. Select Settings
2. Scroll down to Accounts
3. Tap on Accounts in the Accounts screen
4. Tap on Add Account
5. Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
6. Enter your full ODU email address and password before tapping on “Sign In”
7. Select “Apply” when prompted to apply the security settings
8. Once you are finished, you can modify the settings to fit your needs before tapping “Done” to finish the setup
9. If you receive a screen from the Phone Administrator for the Email app to remotely control security features on your phone, you will tap “Activate” in order for the Mail app to receive the emails from your ODU email account
10. If you want to add a nickname to your ODU email, such as “ODU Email”, the Email app will prompt you to add one if desired
11. Go to the Mail app and select your ODU email account to allow your emails to sync to your phone though keep mind that this may take a while

1. Tap Settings
2. Scroll to Mail
3. Tap on Accounts
4. Select Add Account
5. Select Microsoft Exchange
6. Enter in your full ODU email address and add a description such as ODU Email before tapping “Next”
7. Tap “Sign In” when prompted to sign into your ODU account
8. Tap on the “Work or school account” option when prompted
9. Type in your ODU username and password before tapping “Sign In”
10. Select “Accept” when asked about allowing the Mail app to access your mailboxes and sign you in along with reading your profile
11. You can select what apps are allowed to access your ODU email account before tapping on “Save”
12. After you save your settings, it will show your ODU email account in the Accounts screen
13. Go to your Home Screen and open the Mail app to access your ODU email account
